ABOUT KEVIN MOWRER
BIOGRAPHY
Kevin Mowrer is a Rhode Island artist who’s work has spanned 40 years and many different media. His focus for his art has been to find the story that lives in the imagery captured in his paintings.
“My process involves photography as a method of capturing what my eyes see in the moment. I then move to the digital world where I paint into the image to bring out the colors, forms and feelings that tell the story that the place, the light, and the experience shared with me. These stories are all around us because we see them through our eyes and our feelings. I have tried to artistically bridge the world of what is and that moment of what we take away because the experience has moved us. For me, it’s visually finding the truth of what I feel. “
